In February 2020 just before lockdown no 1 a group of Cornish professional cellists led by Barbara Degener gave their inaugural concert together in Truro. No, this extraordinary group includes such well-known Cornish cellists and teachers as Liz Brazier; Ben Hoadley, and Danielle Jones – the latter who also gave memorable performances of both the Haydn and Saint Saens Cello Concertos in Truro and Falmouth
in 2020. Coming together again especially for the Society their programme will encompass the music of Gabrieli, Bach, Mozart, Respighi, Rachmaninov, and Gershwin. Be prepared to be knocked out by a sonority of deep glorious cello sound.
