Mapdance 2022

March 26, 2022 @ 7:30 pm

£8 – £10

The University of Chichester’s performance company, mapdance 2022 brings together 14 dancers, three newly commissioned dance works plus a restaging of Robert Clark’s Closer from 2021. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience dynamic, theatrical, and beautifully crafted work by both established and emerging contemporary choreographers.

Sarah Golding’s new work STATE is rooted in the relationship between music and dance, exploring different ways to translate music into and out of the body.

Keira Martin fuses both the old world and the new through her joint love of traditional and contemporary arts and culture. Keira’s work In-between the Lines openly highlights social and political issues related to identity, gender, social justice, culture, and class.

James Cousins’s dynamic choreography pushes the limitations of physicality. His work is an emotive portrayal of relationships centering on human connection.

Robert Clark’s Closer (2021) explores the desire for and repercussions of change. 12 people consider their future selves and attempt to simultaneously control and break free of the present whilst looking to each other to find meaning and a way forward.
