Sign up to join us for some Venice Carnival-themed Costumed Life Drawing at The Poly, Falmouth on Saturday 11th February, and follow in the footsteps of Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rubens, and many others!
This two-hour session will offer a range of poses and models in a variety of costumes.
The Venice Carnival is thought to have begun in 1162 growing over the years, been banned, and finally returned in 1967, and has grown ever since!
Taking place in February each year it is a chance to party and brings colour to the streets of Venice. The iconic costumes and masks worn are based on clothes from the 16th-17th Century and that is where we will be taking our costumed inspiration from for this session. Including iconic mask and Harlequin.
All for you to capture with pen, ink, charcoal, digitally, oils whatever works for you!
With the weather being more unpredictable we have moved this session inside for this event and will take place in the Main Gallery at The Poly. As with our past life drawing sessions, this is suitable for all ages and is an untutored session, and is a great way to spend your Saturday between 11:00-13:00.
