Lantic Bay, a National Trust beach near Fowey with a steep 20-to-30-minute walk down, lies 3.1km along the coast.

Lansallos itself is a small rural hamlet - the nearest shops and pubs are about 2.6 miles away in Polperro, a fishing village where cars are banned from the narrow lanes leading down to the harbour. The South West Coast Path section from Polperro to Looe, passing through Talland Bay, covers about 5 miles and is one of the best walks on the south coast.
