Pengullyn

Pengullyn is a three-bedroom cottage on Kenstella Road in Newlyn, sleeping six with one bathroom. It sits in a working harbour town - not a resort - which means fish landed daily, a proper art gallery, and a 10-minute walk into Penzance. Dogs are welcome, and the enclosed garden gives them somewhere to run.

Three bedrooms sleep six, with parking and wifi included. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. No open fire or hot tub - this is a practical base, not a luxury retreat.

Newlyn harbour lands more fish by value than any other port in England. The Newlyn Art Gallery on New Road - carrying on a tradition started by the Newlyn School in the 1880s - is a short walk from the cottage. Jelbert's ice cream has been made here since 1938. Mousehole is 2.5km south along the coast path. Penzance station, with mainline trains to London Paddington, is about 15 minutes on foot.
