This dog friendly hidden treasure is in the beautiful village of Mitchell in mid-Cornwall in quite a rural location just outside of Truro and was originally a 16th-century coaching inn. The pub has been renovated and extended and is a lovely setting for food and drink. The rooms are separate barn conversions and are of a high standard and decorated very tastefully. There is a full breakfast available too in the mornings. The pub has a conservatory as well as the original pub with log fire and great atmosphere. This is a fab location in rural North Cornwall.
The location of the Plume is handy to explore most of Cornwall as Mitchell is just off the A30. So you can be in Truro or Newquay within 15 minutes. Then half an hour down the A30 you have places such as St Ives and then Padstow in the other direction.
