This large resort hotel is perched on the cliff at Mawgan Porth with stunning views over the beach. The hotel features a stunning luxurious spa with an indoor pool. They also have multiple outdoor pools including one heated outdoor pool. There are outdoor play areas including a football pitch. An indoor soft play area for little ones is also available and there are clubs for the children to learn and play while Mum and Dad take a well-deserved break. There is also a family restaurant serving children food earlier in the evening. Carlyon Bay Hotel, Near At Austell
For some luxury for you hard-working parents and some amazing fun for the children, this is the right place to come. This stunning hotel on the south coast near St Austell looks like it could be in the Mediterranean. It has its own private beach as well as indoor and outdoor pools for the children to play in. There are some beautiful private grounds to explore too. There is also an outdoor play area. During school holidays the Carlyon Bay offers some brilliant free services for the children too. These are some of the services available for free. Entertainment programme with multiple activities including archery, games nights, birds of prey experience and quiz nights as well as free soft drinks, lunches and ice creams throughout the day. They will even provide a free packed lunch if you are going out for the day.
There are also free children’s clubs throughout the day meaning you can enjoy the golf course, the spa or simply a cocktail on the terrace overlooking the ocean while your children are kept entertained. One of the other things that they do is free buggy rides to the beach and back, which is a huge help especially if you have small children and have to carry huge amounts. The hotel has rooms and lodges and is set in beautiful grounds for you to explore and wander around. The Cornwall has a stunning spa with an Infinity pool which looks out across the countryside. Polurrian on the Lizard
This stunning hotel with incredible views is on the Lizard and has views across Mount’s Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. This luxury hotel is set in 12 acres of clifftop grounds that you are welcome to enjoy and explore. There is also direct access to its own private beach. There is a games room and leisure club as well as an indoor pool, gym and luxury spa. So much for the adults to enjoy while the children are kept entertained in the fully staffed creche which accepts children over the age of 3 months all day. Polurrian Hotel is one of the hotels that take dogs too so the whole family are welcome.
They also offer dining for kids and then baby listening and evening activity services so your kids are looked after while you enjoy a romantic dinner with that gorgeous view as a backdrop. There are also other family activities such as giant chess and snakes and ladders. You can also borrow buckets, spades and crabbing lines to take down to the private beach. They really have thought of everything here. The location means that you are in a great position to explore some other great attractions like Land’s End and Flambards too. Highly recommended especially if you want to bring your dog with you.
Hotel Tresanton, St Mawes
This cliffside hotel used to be a yacht club in St Mawes and has phenomenal views across Falmouth Bay. It isn’t going to be full of children but does cater for them, so maybe ideal if you wanted something a bit quieter. There are 3 family suites in this luxury hotel and next to them is a children’s playroom. An outdoor playground is also available for your kids to play in and enjoy while you soak up the stunning views across the bay.
There is also a cinema room so kids can watch a movie in there too of an evening. During the school holidays, there is a children’s club which does arts and crafts and also games on the beach. The location is incredible with those magnificent views across the bay. There is also a restaurant and a bar so no real need to leave the hotel grounds if that’s what you like. However, there is plenty on your doorstep if you choose to. Falmouth is a great place to explore with water sports and fantastic beaches. Highly recommended if you want to cater for the children somewhere a bit quieter.
Esplanade Hotel, Newquay
Positioned overlooking the famous Fistral Beach in Newquay, this family-friendly hotel is literally a stones throw away from all the action. The hotel has many family rooms with sea views, all featuring free WiFi and TV screens. There is an indoor family-friendly swimming pool and there are children’s play areas indoors and outdoors too. The hotel features a bar and a restaurant and a dancefloor with another bar alongside the restaurant.
There is also the Quicksilver Surf School and the guests can have discounted surf lessons. If you book on one of the family breaks then you can get free family activities too included in your stay. There is also a spa with treatment rooms so the adults can enjoy a real treat. Newquay is a fantastic place to bring children. There are of course many awesome beaches to explore but there are plenty of other things to do as well such as the Blue Reef Aquarium and Newquay Zoo and Water Park.
Tregenna Castle, St Ives
Perched overlooking St Ives, Tegenna Castle is a beautiful hotel and resort. The incredible building has a mixture of traditional rooms in the main building and also self-catering apartments to choose from. The resort itself has some amazing grounds that you can spend hours exploring. There is an outdoor playground, woodland walks, tennis courts and an indoor pool, as well as an outdoor heated pool. There is so much to do on-site. Just close by you have St Ives surf school and a host of other attractions such as the Seal Sanctuary and Flambards Theme Park.
Of course, there are some awesome child-friendly activities and throughout the school holidays, there are more things for the little ones to do. However, for Mum, there is the luxury spa for you to relax in and maybe get a treatment and for Dad an onsite golf course. There are 2 on-site restaurants and of course, the option of self-catering if you would rather prepare your own food. St Ives is one of the most popular locations in Cornwall and the Tregenna Resort is a fantastic way to visit this beautiful town.
Mullion Cove Hotel and Spa
This hotel won’t be full of kids, but they do cater for them. If you wanted something a bit more chilled but wanted to bring your children this is a great option for you. Also, they are dog friendly so you can bring your family dog with you too at no extra charge in certain rooms. Older children will enjoy all the activities that the hotel has on its doorstep such as kayaking, surfing and hiking etc. This hotel will also cater for babies and provide COT beds and assistance with warming milk etc.
There is family dining available earlier in the evening and then adult dining later on. This stunning hotel is positioned on the cliffs overlooking Mullion Cove and has the most incredible views. There is also a spa so you can truly relax and treat yourself to a treatment. There is also a pool and of course, you are a stone’s throw away from the beach here. We recommend this hotel for couples with babies or families with older children who of course would like to bring their 4 legged friend with them on their staycation.
