This property is in a fabulous location, just 650 yards from the beach. Some of the amazing features include a hot tub, a garden with outdoor dining facilities, and a stylish kitchen diner inside with room for the whole family.

The house itself features a dishwasher and washing machine, perfect for the whole family to enjoy sandy beach days. Being so close to the centre of St. Ives, you have a whole host of restaurants and takeout places on your doorstep. You can also prepare your food for the whole family to keep the cost down or to have those cosy family nights.

St Ives is a very popular location in Cornwall. The town itself is gorgeous and sits on a beautiful beach and harbour. You have different dining options, from relaxed pubs serving great fresh, local pub food to more fine dining options featuring local produce for you to enjoy. The Tate Gallery is less than a mile away. St. Ives is also close to the A30, so you can easily access some other great attractions in Cornwall, such as St. Michael’s Mount, the Minack Theatre, or Flambards Theme Park. You have your own balcony and garden area with outdoor dining facilities for those dreamy Cornish evenings in the sun. This apartment has a double bed and 2 singles so great for families or groups of friends.

The kitchen features everything you will need including a dishwasher and washing machine. The villa is set on a complex that also has a shop and tennis court. St Merryn itself is only 1 mile away and has restaurants and bars for you to enjoy. A great reason to stay here is that they accept pets so the whole family can go on their summer break together. Highly recommended for families or friends that want to explore the countryside as well as the seaside. You have enough to do in St Merryn but the beautiful coast is just up the road so beach days are a real feature of this stay too.

This gives you a real countryside feel when you stay. Each of the houses gives you 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 4. The house features gorgeous beams and floorless decoration which you will love.

Free parking and wifi come as standard. The kitchen is equipped with everything that you will need for your self-catering Cornish countryside stay. Beach days are just a short drive away and you are also close to the city of Truro, the capital of Cornwall. It features many shops, restaurants, and its famous Cathedral which dominates the skyline throughout the city.

The river offers boat trips but if you want to explore water sports then check out the nearest beaches and see what they offer as all are different. I recommend The Engine for those seeking a Cornish retreat and want to be able to relax in peace. There is also plenty to do for a short drive away if they fancy it.

This pet-friendly villa is perfect for the whole family to enjoy. 2 Fernleigh Villas have 3 bedrooms 1 of which have bunk beds. It is only a few minutes’ walk from the stunning beach at Perranporth. Free wifi and Parking are also standard with this well-presented family villa. The decoration is to a high standard and the kitchen has everything you will need for your self-catering holiday in Cornwall.

Perranporth itself is a lively town with a bustling beach full of water sports and people walking their dogs. There are many different restaurants and pubs in the town. There are even some on the beach which as you can imagine boast incredible views across the bay. Perranporth is famous in Cornwall for its live music and music festivals at the watering hole on the beach. Each year Tunes in the Dunes and Bands in the Sands hold 2 Cornish festivals featuring worldwide acts. You will also find acts playing in the watering hole throughout the whole year so check out their page on Facebook.

If live music isn’t your thing then enjoy the hiking and cycling and the chilled-out beach days as well as fine dining in the evenings. I would say that this is a fantastic family house which is located in a great place and would highly recommend it too. If you are a group of friends the location is fantastic as long as someone doesn’t mind sleeping on the bunks.

Ivy Cottage, Launceston

This quaint cottage is an ideal place if you want to explore the Cornish countryside with the whole family including the dog as Ivy Cottage is pet-friendly. The cottage has a cosy cottage feel as you would expect. It is the perfect base for hiking, cycling, fishing, or other countryside adventures. Free wifi is standard and there is free parking too.

The Cottage has a lounge, kitchen, and dining area equipped with everything you will need including a washing machine and a dishwasher. There is also a fireplace which will let you enjoy a cosy night in. The local pub also accepts dogs. The owners of this property are very welcoming and know how much your dog is part of your family.

You can get supplies just a short 10-minute drive away from M&S. The property is surrounded by moors so you can feel secluded. If a secluded break to get away from everything with the whole family is what you are after then this is the place for you. You can be at the beach within 30 minutes so days out are also on the agenda. You will need a car if you want to stay at this little gem of a cottage here in Cornwall.

The Hideaway at Tregoose Old Mill, Newquay

It also has a cosy living space so you have everything you will need as well as a kitchen area. The grounds of the Hideaway are simply stunning. You can spend your evenings taking in the Cornish sun and relaxing. In the daytime, you can enjoy the many activities around such as hiking or cycling.

There are free parking and wifi as standard. The hosts of the property will do all they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The Hideaway is rated very highly by couples for its location and for a couple’s stay.

One of the best things about this location is that although it is nestled in the countryside you are 5 minutes away from Newquay town centre. A quick taxi ride will take you to the center of Newquay so you can enjoy all that the town has to offer. Newquay is famous for its beaches and nightlife. You can enjoy many different pubs and restaurants on the beaches in Newquay. At the end of your day or evening, you can come home to this tranquil spot to unwind. Highly recommended for couples.

Polgwedhen Lodge, Truro

Rustic and secluded, this lodge is set in an amazing country lake. It is the only lodge on the property so you are literally on your own in this magical location. There is a farmhouse nearby but it does not overlook the lodge so you really can relax in your private lake-view lodge.

Free wifi and free parking are included so you are not totally in the wilderness. The lodge has a kitchen with an oven, microwave, and fridge and a separate bedroom with en-suite. Although secluded this beautiful lodge is only 4 miles away from the city of Truro which is the capital of Cornwall. You are also only 5 minutes away from St Agnes which has gorgeous beaches.

Right on your doorstep, you have hiking, cycling, fishing, beach, and water sports of all descriptions. A city not too far has a huge variety of restaurants and bars as well as a whole host of takeaway restaurants for you to enjoy in your private lakeside lodge. You can also stock up at the Tesco store and have your BBQ using the facilities on site. I would recommend this for couples or small families if you want that feeling of total seclusion but also to have some of the best of Cornwall on your doorstep.

Overlooking Newquay harbour and bay there are outdoor dining facilities and indoor lounge, dining, and kitchen areas. Free parking and wifi are standard here too.

Newquay itself is a great place for a Cornish holiday because you have so many beautiful beaches. You can also enjoy a variety of water sports, surfing, kayaking, fishing, and boat trips. There are countless amounts of bars and restaurants. Some are located on the beach for you to soak up the Cornish sun and way of life.

I recommend this property for large families who want to bring their dogs with them. There are so many stunning cliff walks around and some of the beaches in Newquay are dog-friendly all year round. I also recommend this property for groups of friends who want to enjoy the nightlife in Newquay and everything it has to offer during the day too.

Falmouth Self Catering Lodges

These beautiful lodges are set in a complex with stunning sea views, in Falmouth. The complex has a restaurant and well-being centre which has an indoor pool, gym, and sauna. The lodges are decorated to a high standard and are equipped with everything that you will need to enjoy your self-catering holiday in Cornwall.

Free wifi and parking come as standard and as I have mentioned amazing sea views. The kitchen has all you will need for your stay including a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is an outdoor area with dining facilities and you are 700 yards from the beach. Such an amazing location.

Falmouth itself is a fantastic town. It sits on a harbour and beach and has many excellent restaurants and bars to enjoy as well as access to water sports, fishing, and hiking to keep you going. I highly recommend both the lodges and the area for a fantastic break away in Cornwall. These lodges sleep up to 6 so perfect for large families or groups of friends.
