Nestled in the serene village of Cusgarne, Church Close Cottage is one of two charming cottages situated within the picturesque grounds of Cusgarne House. Positioned perfectly within a short drive from the coastline, this beautifully renovated 19th-century building provides an ideal location. This well-situated destination ensures enjoyment for all the family, whether you’re taking a shopping trip in Truro City or exploring Newquay’s Blue Reef Aquarium, there is plenty to do and see nearby.

The open-plan living area on the ground floor benefits from vaulted ceilings adorned with beams, creating a generous sense of space. The kitchen is well-equipped featuring an oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine and a dining table offering seating for up to six guests. The sitting area provides comfortable seating and a warm wood-burning stove for the perfect cosy evening. One of the three bedrooms is located on the ground floor and can be configured as either two cosy twin single beds or a plush super-king size bed as required. There is also a ground-floor bathroom with a bath, separate shower, wash basin and WC.

The further two bedrooms are located on the first floor one king-size bedroom and one twin bedroom; both have use of a shower room with cubicle, wash basin and WC.

Outside is a lovely, private south-facing patio with a garden table and seating as well as a barbecue; perfect for summer evenings and al fresco dining. Guests can also enjoy the large and lovely gardens surrounding the property which are shared with The Threshing Barn. Both cottages also have access to a games room with table tennis along with beach equipment for use during your stay. If you are wishing to holiday as a larger group, you can book both Church Close Cottage and The Threshing Barn to sleep up to 10 guests in total.

Just a mile away from the property you’ll find the calming pleasantries of Bissoe Valley Nature Park which is perfect for a morning stroll with the family and dogs; or even a perfect place to get the mountain bikes out to get some of that fresh Cornish air.

Unfortunately, the property is not suitable for anybody with limited mobility.

One well-behaved dog is welcome (small additional charge).

Cusgarne is a charming village nestle in the Cornish countryside; located equidistant between Truro and Falmouth. It is the perfect location for those wishing to enjoy the tranquillity of a quiet village and have easy access to bustling towns and luscious beaches. Spend an evening experiencing the delights of the organic and local produce from the Cusgarne Farmshop or take advantage of the traditional pub, Cornish Arms Frogpool.

Spend a day in the city of Truro; it is home to a variety of fantastic high street retailers and independent shops immersed within the city’s iconic history and heritage with attractions portraying Truro’s past and present. Spend an afternoon discovering the beautiful Truro Cathedral, enjoy dinner at one of Truro’s superb restaurants and then why not head over to the newly renovated Hall for Cornwall for an evening of entertainment.

Take a short drive and explore the bustling town of Falmouth; steeped in history from its deep natural harbour to its historic castles. A visit to the National Maritime Museum is the perfect place to cultivate your understanding of the sea and then take the short walk up to Pendennis Castle; built in the 1540’s by Henry VIII this artillery fort stands proudly on the headland.
