From the doorstep, the Coast Path provides direct access to the golden sands of Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth, both renowned for surfing, dramatic scenery and coastal walks.

Just a 5-minute drive away, the village of Mawgan Porth offers a welcoming pub, café, surf hire and local store. For a wider choice of shops, restaurants and nightlife, the vibrant seaside resort of Newquay is only 5 miles away, with easy access to the famous beaches of Fistral Beach, Pentire Headland and Crantock Beach.

Food lovers can visit Rick Stein’s Cafe, just 9 miles away in the picturesque harbour town of Padstow. From here, you can also hire bikes and explore the scenic Camel Trail to Wadebridge.

Heading north along the Coast Path brings you to the dramatic cliffs and sea stacks of Bedruthan Steps, while southwards you’ll reach Watergate Bay and the sweeping sands of Newquay Bay.

For culture and history, visit the Elizabethan manor houses of Trerice (6 miles) and Prideaux Place (9 miles). Within an hour’s drive you can also discover world-class attractions including the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and Lanhydrock House.
