Duporth Lodge

Duporth Lodge is a three-bedroom coastal lodge at Duporth, near Charlestown in St Austell Bay, sleeping six. The property welcomes dogs, is designed as accessible accommodation, and includes parking with EV charging on-site.

Inside, the three bedrooms are served by two bathrooms. The living area has an open fire, and the kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher and washing machine. Wi-Fi is provided.

Outside, the lodge has a private garden with space for sitting out. The Duporth site sits just south of Charlestown on the south Cornwall coast, with direct access to the South West Coast Path.

Charlestown, about a mile along the coast path, is a Georgian harbour village preserved as a working port and often used as a film location - most recently for Poldark. Tall ships still berth in the harbour, and the Shipwreck Treasure Museum sits on the quay. Charlestown has pubs, cafes, and independent shops around the harbour.

St Austell Bay's beaches include Carlyon Bay, with its stretch of shingle backed by cliffs, and Porthpean, a small sandy cove south of Charlestown. The Eden Project at Bodelva is about 15 minutes by car, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, with their restored Victorian pleasure grounds and productive gardens, lie about 20 minutes south. Fowey, Mevagissey, and the Roseland peninsula are all within reach for days out along the coast.
