Our grading

This romantic bolthole is set in a peaceful location in the small, rural village of St Wenn in the middle of Cornwall just 3 miles from A30. The one-bedroom property is surrounded by endless walking trails to explore, including popular routes at Rosenannon Downs, Hustyn Wood, and Goss Moor. Further afield, you can pick up the long-distance South West Coast Path (11 miles), with its magnificent sea views and wildlife watching opportunities. The charming market town of Wadebridge is just 6 miles away, and has a good range of local shops, along with friendly pubs and cafes. The traffic-free Camel Trail passes through the town, and you can follow it along the river to the colourful harbour town of Padstow. Here, you can potter amongst the cobbled streets, perusing the boutiques and galleries, before dining in one of the many independent restaurants dotted throughout the town. Nearby attractions include Pencarrow House and Garden and the Eden Project, both within 10 miles.

Enter the stylish lodge into the bright, open-plan living space, where your eyes will be drawn to the panoramic countryside views through the wall of windows and glass doors. In one corner is a contemporary kitchen for whipping up a tasty dinner for two using fresh, local ingredients from your travels. Sit down at the wooden dining table to enjoy your feast or, on a summer’s evening, head out onto the balcony. Completing the living space is a cosy lounge area with a roaring wood burner and an array of comfortable seating arranged around a Smart TV. Just off the lounge/kitchen/diner is a luxury bathroom and completing the accommodation is a beautiful king-size bedroom with calming decor and plush linens.

Outside, take in the breathtaking scenery on your glass-fronted balcony, looking out for local wildlife in the surrounding fields. The balcony has furniture for al fresco dining. Private parking is available for two cars.
