Budock Water
Quiet village near Falmouth with a 13th-century church
Budock Water is a small village set in a wooded valley about 2 miles south-west of Falmouth. The parish church of St Budock dates to the 13th century and is the ancient mother church of Falmouth - the town of Falmouth grew up within Budock parish.
The village sits between Falmouth’s harbour town amenities and the Helford River to the south. Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens, two of Cornwall’s great subtropical gardens, are about 3 miles south-west. Maenporth Beach and Swanpool Beach are both within 2 miles. Holiday accommodation here tends to be quieter than Falmouth itself while still being within easy reach of the town’s restaurants, galleries, and boat trips.
