Lafrowda returns in 2026 after a fundraising gap year in 2025. A week of community arts events in St Just builds to the climax of Lafrowda Day on the final Saturday, when the town fills with parades, willow sculpture processions, live bands, and street performances.
The evening torchlit procession through St Just to the Plain-An-Gwarry - a rare surviving medieval Cornish open-air amphitheatre - is the highlight. Hundreds of lanterns wind through the narrow streets as the town celebrates its artistic and mining heritage.
