Padstow Christmas Festival is one of the biggest Christmas events in Cornwall, transforming the harbour town into a food-lover’s winter destination over four days in December. The festival regularly draws around 45,000 visitors.

The heart of the festival is its food programme. Market stalls line the harbour and streets, selling artisan produce, local crafts, and seasonal food. Over 50 live chef demonstrations feature Rick Stein, Paul Ainsworth, and visiting TV chefs in marquees by the harbour. Many of Padstow’s restaurants put on special menus for the festival week.

Beyond the food, there’s a full programme of entertainment: a lantern parade through the town, carol singing, Santa’s arrival by lifeboat, a fireworks display over the Camel Estuary, and live music across several stages. Children’s activities run throughout, and the town’s Christmas decorations are among the best in Cornwall.

Entry to the festival is free, though some chef demonstration events require tickets booked in advance. Padstow is well served by the Camel Trail cycle path from Wadebridge, and park-and-ride services operate during the festival.
