Paul Ainsworth at No. 6

Paul Ainsworth at No6 occupies a Georgian townhouse on Middle Street, a short walk up from Padstow harbour. It has held a Michelin star since 2013 and carries four AA rosettes, and Paul runs it with his wife Emma. The cooking is modern British built on Cornish produce, with meat and fish from the county’s farms and boats at the centre of the menu.

The tasting menu is the main event, with a shorter a la carte option alongside it. The kitchen has also featured on MasterChef: The Professionals, where the contestants cooked dishes from the restaurant’s menu. The restaurant keeps its star in the 2026 Michelin Guide. It opens for dinner Tuesday to Saturday and for lunch Thursday to Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday, so check the current days and menu prices before you plan a trip around it.
