The Cornish Winter Fair closes the county’s agricultural show calendar each November, a two-day event held entirely under cover at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre near Wadebridge. Both entry and parking are free, and in 2026 it runs on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November. It pairs a serious livestock competition with a large winter market, making it as much a Christmas shopping day out as a farming show.
More than 150 trade stands fill the halls with food, drink, crafts and Christmas gifts, alongside a Food and Farming Discovery Zone where children try hands-on activities like mock cow milking and a model farm. A rare breeds exhibit brings goats, sheep and pigs close up, and there is a Santa’s Grotto. The competitive core is the Wadebridge Prime Stock Show on the Saturday, which has run for over 145 years, with cattle and sheep classes plus produce, craft and cookery competitions for children, local schools, the WI and Young Farmers’ Clubs. Across the two days the fair draws more than 10,000 visitors.
