Wadebridge itself has a pedestrianised shopping centre, pubs, restaurants and a cinema, plus bike hire for the Camel Trail.

The Camel Trail is the main draw here - a traffic-free path along the old railway line running past the cottage to Padstow one way and Bodmin the other. Daymer Bay sits 4.5 miles away, Greenaway 4.8 miles, and Polzeath 5 miles, with Rock, Trevone and Harlyn all reachable within 20 minutes by car. Port Isaac and Padstow both lie roughly seven miles away.

Best for couples wanting extra space for an occasional guest, with two dogs welcome and easy access to the Camel Trail. Less good for anyone without a car for shopping - the nearest supermarket is half a mile uphill.
