Linhay

Linhay is an 18th-century barn conversion near St Ervan, sleeping four across two super-king-size bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room. One bed is a zip-and-link that splits into twins on request, so the layout suits either a family or two couples travelling together.

High vaulted ceilings, whitewashed stone walls and timber beams run through the interior, keeping the original barn structure on show. Wi-Fi, a washing machine and parking for two cars are included, but there is no dishwasher, and up to two dogs are welcome in the garden, which is shared rather than private. Padstow's harbour and restaurants are about four miles north, and Bedruthan Steps is roughly 11 miles along the coast.

Porthcothan Bay Beach is 3.1 miles away, Trevone Bay is 3.2 miles away and Harlyn Bay is 3.4 miles from the barn, all needing a short drive rather than a walk. Constantine Bay and Harlyn Bay, both a short drive north-west, are among the better beaches on this stretch of coast, and Padstow's Camel Trail start point is a similar distance in the other direction. **Best for:** two couples or a small family wanting two en-suite bedrooms, flexible bed arrangements and rural character close to Padstow. **Less good for:** guests wanting a private garden, a dishwasher, or a beach within walking distance, and anyone needing step-free accommodation.
