Believed to have been established in Roman Times, Stratton indulges guests with its olde-world feel made up of historic buildings, narrow streets, and a homely local pub, set just down the road from the cottage itself. Bude is a short 1.5-mile drive away and has a lovely array of local shops and fine eateries serving up all sorts of delicacies. The town is a surfers’ paradise with a choice of three golden sandy beaches to enjoy, as well as an award-winning golf course and easy access to the South West Coast Path, which is a top trail for guests to hop onto. Being conveniently located just off the A39, the retreat provides easy access to many top South West attractions including The Milky Way Adventure Park (15 miles) and the mythical Tintagel (20 miles), famed for the legends of King Arthu
