Bugle is on the A391 and has its own railway station on the Atlantic Coast Line between Par and Newquay. St Austell, the nearest town, is about 4 miles south with supermarkets and the Charlestown harbour. The white spoil heaps of the clay pits - sometimes called the Cornish Alps - mark the landscape around the village. Dogs are welcome, and the surrounding countryside offers plenty of walking routes across the mid-Cornwall clay trails.
