Polperro Model Village

Polperro Model Village has been a fixture on Mill Hill since the late 1940s, offering a scaled-down replica of the fishing village as it once looked. The miniature buildings, harbour and streets are set in landscaped gardens and give a clear sense of Polperro’s layout that can be hard to appreciate when walking through the real village’s narrow lanes.

A single admission ticket also covers the Land of Legend, a trail through Cornish myths and folklore - smugglers, piskies, giants and other figures from centuries of local tradition are illustrated along the route. The 00-gauge model railway weaves through a miniature landscape of farms, rivers, a station and a rail depot, and is a reliable draw for younger visitors. The combination of three attractions in one site makes it a practical family stop that fills about an hour.

The model village is open from Easter to October, Sunday to Friday, with doors opening at 10:30am. Parking is available at the main Polperro car park at the top of the village.
