Originally an old store, this refurbished one-bedroom Grade II listed basement flat in the heart of Fowey is just footsteps from the waterfront. A large glass door connects the sunny kitchen/diner to a pretty courtyard garden at the front of the apartment, creating a lovely space for fair weather relaxation and al fresco dining. The separate living room is cosy, with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and Bluetooth sound system. The elegant master bedroom with views of the courtyard is furnished with a king-size bed. Built into the rock, the property has a unique and boutique feel, with exposed stone featured in the contemporary bathroom. Flagstone flooring and original timber beams enhance the apartment’s historic appeal, complemented by modern features such as a free-standing bath, double shower, and fully equipped kitchen. Set on the west bank of the Fowey Estuary in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the water is central to life in the pretty town of Fowey. Hire kayaks and spend a morning paddling or stroll over to Readymoney Cove for a salty swim and sunbathing. Hidden down a private passageway off Fowey’s main street, this apartment’s location on Trafalgar Square is brilliant. Just footsteps from the waterfront, stunning sea views are mere metres from the front door. Bufala pizza restaurant is next door, and The Ship Inn pub is opposite. Independent cafés, restaurants, lifestyle shops and galleries are also within easy reach. Step out onto the coast path to St Catherine’s Castle, and Gribben Head, or take the passenger ferry across the water to the quaint village of Polruan, where there are more lovely walking routes to explore. Check in time: 4.00pm. Check out time: 10.00am. Good Housekeeping Bond or Accidental Damage Waiver: We ask our guests for a £100 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. This money is simply reserved and is then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this. Alternatively, a one-off, non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £30 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking. Pets: 1 pet allowed. £40 per pet, per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas. Number of steps: 5 steps to front door. Type of heating: Central heating with smart thermostat. Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. If your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change.
