Captains House

Captains House is a 5-bedroom waterfront house in Marazion, sleeping 10 guests with direct sea views across Mount's Bay to St Michael's Mount. The property sits right on the seafront in one of Cornwall's oldest chartered towns.

The master bedroom has a 6-foot bed, a reading area and 180-degree sea views, with an en-suite bathroom featuring twin basins. Additional bedrooms include further doubles and twins - several with sea views - plus a room with Scandinavian bunk beds. Wooden floors run throughout. A large media room has a built-in flat screen TV and surround sound system. The kitchen is fitted with high-specification appliances, and the dining room seats a full table with views of the Mount.

A garden with outdoor dining space faces the water. Marazion Beach - golden sand with views straight to St Michael's Mount - is 300m away. Long Rock Beach, a sand and shingle stretch between Marazion and Penzance, is 2.3km along the coast.

St Michael's Mount is accessible by granite causeway at low tide, or by harbour boat (around two pounds 50 return) when the causeway is submerged. Marazion's main street has cafes, galleries and independent shops. Penzance is 2 miles west, and the Marazion Marsh RSPB reserve - where bitterns bred for the first time in Cornwall in 2023 - borders the town.
