Slightly further afield to the east are the fishing villages of Looe and Polperro and to the west you will find Eden Project the long sandy beach at Carlyon Bay and the historic harbour of Charlestown with its tall ships pebbled beach and pubs. For those interested in swimming Fowey harbour offers a number of dedicated swim zones the closest within 10 steps from the cottage amongst the local sandy beaches. Enter through the front door into a useful porch area which leads through to the ground floor lounge/ snug area with cosy arm chair and local a 1800s farmhouse settle for seating plus a long case clock. Sit and relax in front of the wood burner after a busy day sightseeing.
