Kitchen facilities include a dishwasher and washing machine. Two dogs are welcome, and off-road parking is included.

Readymoney Cove is half a mile away on foot - a sheltered sandy cove below Henry VIII's St Catherine's Castle with calm water suited to families. Lantic Bay, a remote sandy beach accessed by a steep coast path descent, is 1.1 miles east. The year-round passenger ferry to Fowey crosses in around five minutes, opening up Fowey's restaurants, independent shops, and the Daphne du Maurier Literary Centre without the need for a car. The National Trust's Hall Walk - a 4-mile circular route following the estuary through woodland - starts from Bodinnick, a mile north.

**Best for:** couples or small families who want Fowey-estuary views without Fowey prices; walkers with the Hall Walk and coast path on the doorstep. **Less good for:** guests needing wheelchair access or those wanting a beach within a few minutes' walk - Readymoney Cove involves a downhill walk.
