Quay View

Quay View is a three-floor cottage on Quay Hill in Charlestown, one of the best-preserved Georgian harbours in Britain and a regular filming location. The harbour basin and its tall ships are visible from the upper floors of the property. Charlestown Beach is 200m away - a sheltered sandy cove that sits within the harbour walls, calmer than the exposed bays further west along the coast.

The cottage has 3 bathrooms across its three floors and a separate parking space included with the booking. Dishwasher and washing machine are fitted. There is no garden or outdoor space, but the harbour quay is within a two-minute walk and has cafes and pubs operating through the season. Carlyon Bay is 0.9km for a larger expanse of sand, with Porthpean Beach 1.2km for a quieter option.

Charlestown itself has two pubs, a diving museum inside the harbour complex, and direct access to the South West Coast Path both east toward Carlyon Bay and west toward Duporth. The village has regular bus connections to St Austell, 2km north, for supermarkets and rail links.

Suits couples and small families looking for a harbour-village base without having to drive to the beach. Less suited to groups needing outdoor space or a large capacity.
