The Newquay Food Festival takes over Killacourt, the clifftop green above Towan Beach, for four days each July. Entry is free, the setting is right in the centre of town, and the focus is Cornish food and drink served with the Atlantic as a backdrop. In 2026 it runs from 9 to 12 July, 10am to 9pm daily.
The programme centres on a chef’s theatre with live cooking demonstrations, restaurant pop-ups, and open-fire cooking. An independent produce market brings together Cornish growers and makers, and the drinks line-up runs from Cornish craft beer to coastal cocktails and curated wine tastings. Live music carries the festival into the evening, and there are talks on food and sustainability through the day. The full 2026 line-up of chefs and traders is announced in the weeks before the festival, so check the official site for confirmed names.
Killacourt sits a short walk from the harbour and the main beaches, so it is easy to fold a festival visit into a wider day in Newquay.
