Where to stay for Lusty Glaze Sundowner Sessions 2026

30 April 2026 - 1 October 2026 in Newquay. Live availability and prices.

Live prices

Lusty Glaze runs a series of outdoor concerts through summer in its private cove between Newquay town and Porth Beach. The format is sundowner sessions - music as the sun drops into the Atlantic, with a bar and food service on the beach.

The 2026 programme includes Pete Tong as the headline act on Saturday 22 August (3pm-11pm), alongside orchestral Ibiza classics evenings, a Mardi Gras carnival opening party, and DJ sets running through the summer months. Individual event dates are released through the year - check the website for the current schedule.

The setting is what makes these events special. Lusty Glaze is a secluded cove reached by a steep staircase cut into the cliff. The intimacy of the space - maybe a few hundred people between rock walls with the Atlantic in front - creates an atmosphere that arena concerts can’t match.

Best Family Hotels in Cornwall

Cornwall has more family-friendly hotel options than most people expect - it is not just cottages and caravan parks. From 4-star cliffside resorts with dedicated kids' clubs and surf schools to Victorian seafront hotels with heated pools and holiday parks with water flumes and beachside lodges, there is a range that spans every budget. The north coast from Bude to Mawgan Porth concentrates the biggest resort hotels, while St Ives and Falmouth offer more classic hotel stays with beaches on the doorstep. One practical note: peak summer weeks (late July and August) at the better-known hotels fill 6 or more months in advance - the Headland and Bedruthan in particular book solid by Christmas for the following summer.
