A two-bedroom house on a private headland between Whipsiderry and Porth, with its own gate from the decked terrace straight onto Porth Beach. Sleeps four, sits a mile north of Newquay town centre, and the South West Coast Path runs along the cottage line.

Reverse-level layout: the open-plan kitchen, dining, and sitting room sit upstairs to take in the sea, with a balcony off the living area. Both bedrooms are downstairs - one king-size, one twin - and both have en-suite bathrooms, which works well for two couples or a family wanting separate space. Parking on site, enclosed decked terrace for alfresco eating, and up to three dogs welcome with a beach beneath the deck for the morning walk.

Porth itself is a wide sandy bay with a tidal lagoon, lifeguarded in summer and good for paddling with kids. Whipsiderry, 700 metres along the cliff, is steeper and quieter. Tolcarne sits just over half a mile south. Newquay's restaurants, harbour, and Fistral Beach are within easy walking or a five-minute drive.

Best for two couples, families with dogs, or coastal walkers who value direct beach access over town-centre buzz. Less good for anyone wanting nightlife on the doorstep, or guests who'd struggle with the stairs to the upper-floor living space.
