The Gaverne

This elegant lodge is on a peaceful holiday park, 3.5 miles from Wadebridge. The retreat, which sleeps four guests, is perfect for families and friends looking to rest and recharge amongst the stunning North Cornwall landscape. A 2.5-mile journey brings you to the upmarket resort of Rock, renowned for its idyllic sandy beach and spectacular estuary views. The village also has a fantastic food scene, with numerous independent restaurants and pubs. A short ferry ride from Rock brings you to the charming harbour town of Padstow, with its cobbled streets and quaint boutiques and galleries. While away an afternoon here, pottering around the shops or hiking along the South West Coast Path. Other nearby days out include the picture-postcard fishing village of Port Isaac (7 miles) and the surfing hotspot of Polzeath (4.5 miles). There are also some excellent family attractions within easy reach, such as Tintagel Castle (15 miles) and Newquay Zoo (20 miles).

The single-storey retreat exudes style and sophistication, with bespoke furniture and unique design elements throughout, such as the integrated lighting and contrast aluminium windows. Kick off sandy shoes in the hallway, before heading through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner featuring floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors and a calming colour scheme. In one corner, you’ll find a chic kitchen with a breakfast bar and everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals for the group. After dinner at the contemporary dining table, retire to the comfortable lounge area to sink into the sofa and watch a movie on the Smart TV. When day turns to night, choose from two beautiful king-size bedrooms, one of which has its own en-suite bathroom with an indulgent, free-standing bath. A family shower room rounds off this stunning holiday home.

Bi-fold doors from the living area open onto a private terrace with fabulous estuary views. After a day of adventure, unwind in the sunken hot tub. Guests are also welcome to make use of the on site, shared games room and indoor swimming pool (available from April until the end of October). Private parking is available adjacent to the lodge for two cars.
