The Lodge is a Grade II listed detached house retaining Gothic windows, arched doorways and beamed ceilings. The interior holds woodburners in both the living and dining rooms, recently refurbished bathroom facilities and character throughout. The adjoining Stable is a separately converted holiday home, refurbished to a similar standard and equipped for family stays.

Outside, the grounds wrap around both properties with half an acre of garden leading down to the river. The setting is rural and private, with countryside views on all sides. The nearest sandy beaches sit on the south coast - Plaidy Beach, East Looe Beach and Lansallos Beach are all around 14 km away.

The A38 trunk road between Devon and Cornwall runs close by, making the fishing ports of Looe, Polperro and Fowey straightforward day trips, along with the Eden Project inland.
