Carnglaze Caverns, former slate quarries with an underground lake that turns a distinctive blue-green, are about 2km from the village. The nearest beaches, Plaidy and East Looe, are 16km south.

Ideal for couples or small families who want a Bodmin Moor base rather than a coastal one - walking, cycling on Cardinham trails, and visiting National Trust sites at Lanhydrock and Restormel Castle.
