Mimi's Cottage

Mimi's Cottage is a single-storey stone cottage in St Neot village on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor, sleeping two in one double bedroom with one bathroom. The whole property is on the ground floor, making it accessible for guests with limited mobility. Inside: a wood burner, open fire, enclosed patio garden, Wi-Fi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine are all included.

St Neot sits in the Loveny valley and is one of the more intact village settlements on this part of Bodmin Moor. The village pub and a small shop are a 10-minute walk from the cottage. The area around St Neot is popular with walkers - the Golitha Falls nature reserve on the River Fowey is around 1.9 miles east, a National Nature Reserve with ancient oak woodland and cascades through a steep gorge.

Plaidy Beach near Looe is 9.6 miles south, East Looe Beach is 9.8 miles, and Talland Bay is 10.1 miles - all requiring around 25-30 minutes by car. The south coast here is calmer and warmer than the north, and Looe itself has a compact fishing harbour and a good range of independent restaurants. Dobwalls, the nearest town with a supermarket, is around 3.1 miles east.

Ideal for couples who want a quiet inland retreat with the character of a working Cornish village, rather than a beach holiday. Not great for guests expecting coastal proximity - beaches are a meaningful drive away in all directions.
