The Dairy

The Dairy is a 2-bedroom cottage at Tremaddock Farm in St Neot, a moorland village on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor. The cottage sleeps 4 with 1 bathroom and an enclosed garden with patio - a practical setup for dog owners wanting secure outdoor space. Wifi, parking, and a dishwasher are included. Changeover is Saturdays.

The village sits in the valley of the River Loveny, with a pub and community shop within walking distance. The 15th-century parish church of St Anietus holds 17 medieval stained glass windows - over half retaining original glass dating from around 1500 - and draws visitors specifically interested in ecclesiastical art. For outdoor days, Golitha Falls is 2 miles upstream along the River Fowey, a National Nature Reserve with a waymarked trail through ancient oak woodland open year-round and free to visit. Carnglaze Caverns, a former slate mine open for tours, is a mile west of the village.

The nearest coast is the south Cornwall shoreline around Looe, about a 30-minute drive. Plaidy Beach near Looe offers sheltered, dog-friendly swimming and rock pools. The Minions heritage area, with Bronze Age stone circles and the Cheesewring granite tor, is around 4 miles northeast on the open moor.

**Best for:** Dog owners, walkers, and anyone wanting a moorland base for exploring eastern Cornwall inland and out to the south coast. **Less good for:** Families expecting beach-door access - the coast is a drive away, and there is no hot tub or BBQ on this property.
