How about heading out on the water for a spot of waterskiing or sailing via the local ski school (350 metres) Days out are easy: Polzeath’s surfing beach and Daymer Bay (both around 3 miles) are fab options, or head to Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame (9 miles away). Tintagel Castle (15 miles) is steeped in Arthurian myth, while golf fans will be delighted to find the championship course at St Enodoc right on Rock’s edge (0.5 miles).

Head upstairs to the light-filled open-plan living space, complete with a vaulted ceiling and beams, where comfortable seating invites you to settle in and soak up those sensational views. There’s a snug corner for film nights, a smaller dining table that’s perfect for board games, and a larger table next to the kitchen area for sociable dinners that go late into the evening.

Sliding doors from the main living area open out onto an impressive balcony for fresh-air drinks and chats, all while enjoying those fantastic views.
