Apartment 66 occupies a converted section of Fort Picklecombe, a Victorian coastal fortification on the Rame Peninsula with direct views across Plymouth Sound. The property welcomes one well-behaved dog and has sea views from glazed doors that open onto a balcony.

Two bedrooms - a king-size double and a double with en-suite shower room - accommodate up to four guests. The open-plan living area combines a sitting area, kitchen, and dining space, all facing the water through full-height glazed doors. The main bathroom has a bath with shower over, and a cot is available on request. Wi-Fi and a TV with Sky are included, along with night storage heating.

The balcony looks east over Plymouth Sound, where warships, ferries, and sailing boats pass regularly. Kingsand Beach is 2.3 km from the fort - a mix of sand and shingle with calm, sheltered water. Cawsand Beach, at 2.6 km, has a cafe and is backed by the colourful cottages of the twin villages. Reserved parking for one car is provided.

The Rame Peninsula remains one of southeast Cornwall's quieter stretches of coast, reached by a single main road. Cawsand and Kingsand share four pubs and several cafes between them, with kayak and paddleboard hire from the beach in summer. Mount Edgcumbe Country Park - 800 acres of gardens, deer park, and coastal woodland - is accessible along the coast path.
