Eventide

Eventide is a three-bedroom late 18th-century mid-terrace former smugglers' cottage in Kingsand, Cawsand on the Rame Peninsula, sleeping five across one bathroom. Sea views run from every window, with the property overlooking the sand-and-shingle beach next to the village Clock Tower.

Inside, the cottage has period character alongside modern kit. Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine, and an open fire are all included. Dogs are welcome. Three bedrooms work well for small families or a couple plus friends.

Outside, the beach is a few steps from the front door. Kingsand and the twin village of Cawsand together have three small beaches with sand and shingle. Pubs, cafes, and a general store with post office are within a couple of minutes' walk. The South West Coast Path passes the door, heading around Penlee Point to Rame Head. In summer, a passenger ferry runs from Cawsand Beach across Plymouth Sound to the Barbican.

Whitsand Bay, 2 miles west, adds a longer stretch of sand and surf. Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and Antony House are both within a short drive. Prices start at 569 GBP per week, rising to 1,270 GBP at peak. Best for guests who want a village beach with real character and easy access to Plymouth. Less suited to those needing multiple bathrooms for larger parties.
