Breakwater Cottage

Breakwater Cottage is an early 19th-century character cottage in Bude, positioned within 100 yards of Summerleaze Beach with first-floor sitting-room views out over the coast. The main cottage sleeps 6 and a detached annexe sleeps a further 4, providing extensive accommodation across five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Inside, the cottage and annexe combine to offer flexible space for extended family groups. Equipment includes wifi, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and accessibility features. Two dogs of any size are welcome.

Outside, the gated parking area is large enough for two good-sized cars, with a private garden providing outdoor space. Summerleaze Beach is 100 yards away - Bude's main family beach with lifeguard cover and the famous Bude Sea Pool for calmer swims. Crooklets Beach lies slightly further along the coast, and Widemouth Bay surfing beach is just over a 5-minute drive south.

Bude has shops, restaurants, and sports facilities throughout the town centre, with soft play, fishing, cycling, golf, surfing, and other watersports on offer. The Falcon Hotel and The Brendon Arms sit a short walk away for food, with the bridge leading into the main town centre. The South West Coast Path runs along the cliffs in both directions, and the Bude Canal towpath offers flat walking inland for quieter afternoons.
