Widemouth Bay, a wide sandy beach with lifeguard cover in season, is 1.6 miles in the other direction. Crooklets and Summerleaze beaches in Bude are both under 3.1 miles north, and the South West Coast Path passes through Millook for anyone wanting cliff walking without driving. Crackington Haven, which has a cafe and a break that surfers rate in autumn swells, is 4.2 miles south.

Best for couples who want a quiet rural base within easy reach of the north Cornwall coast. Less suitable for families (only one bedroom, no garden) or anyone needing a fully equipped kitchen - the absence of a dishwasher and limited counter space suit light self-catering only.
