Crabpot Cottage

Crabpot Cottage is a traditional granite cottage in Newlyn, recently refurbished but retaining its original character - deep window reveals and exposed granite walls throughout. The cottage is dog-friendly and has a wood burning stove and an open fire for cooler months. Wi-Fi and a washing machine are included.

Inside, the layout includes a kitchen-diner, 2 bedrooms, a family bathroom and a lounge. The proportions are compact but well planned, with the wood burner making the sitting room a warm retreat. The kitchen serves as both cooking and dining space.

Mousehole Beach is 2.6 km away along the coast, and Eastern Green Beach sits 3.2 km to the north. The South West Coast Path runs through Newlyn, heading south to Mousehole in about 1.5 miles and north into Penzance. Newlyn's harbour is active around the clock, with beam trawlers and crabbers operating from the quay.

Newlyn has a growing food and shopping scene. The Tolcarne Inn and Mackerel Sky Seafood Bar serve dishes made from locally landed fish. The Newlyn Art Gallery on New Road continues the tradition of the Newlyn School painters, who established an artists' colony here in the 1880s. Jelbert's ice cream has been made in Newlyn since 1938. Penzance is connected by a continuous promenade and has mainline rail connections, the Jubilee Pool lido and ferry services to the Isles of Scilly.
