Eventide

Eventide is a three-bedroom cottage in Cawsand, one of the twin fishing villages on the Rame Peninsula in southeast Cornwall. The property sleeps five and sits 100 metres from Kingsand Beach.

A king-size bedroom and a mezzanine twin are connected by a steep, narrow, open-tread staircase - the king-size room is accessed through the twin with two steps up. A ground-floor shower room has a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. The sitting room has a woodburning stove with a starter pack included, and the kitchen-diner is fitted with an electric oven, 2-ring induction hob, and microwave.

Off-road parking for two cars is provided, along with an enclosed front garden with patio furniture and a charcoal barbecue. Kingsand Beach, a sand-and-shingle beach with sheltered water and views across Plymouth Sound, is a one-minute walk. Cawsand Beach, a sandy east-facing cove with a cafe, is 300 metres further along the village lanes.

Cawsand and Kingsand are connected by narrow, largely car-free lanes lined with pastel-coloured cottages. The coast path leads 2 miles to Rame Head, with its medieval hilltop chapel and views to the Eddystone lighthouse. Mount Edgcumbe Country Park - 800 acres of formal gardens and deer park - is accessible on foot along the shore. Four pubs and several cafes serve the twin villages.
