Gwillen

Gwillen is a four-bedroom family cottage overlooking Mawgan Porth beach on the north Cornwall coast. The property sleeps up to 6 adults and 2 children under 12, with the beach a 10-minute walk down the hill. One dog is welcome.

The cottage has a king-size bedroom, a double, a standard twin, and a smaller first-floor twin with 2-foot-6 beds. A bathroom has a bath with shower over, and a separate shower room has a walk-in shower. The sitting room centres on an open fire. A conservatory extends the living space, and the kitchen-diner has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, and slimline dishwasher. A utility and boot area handles wet gear.

The tiered garden has a lawn, patio, garden furniture, and steps between levels - children need supervision around the short drops. A garage provides storage, and an outdoor shower is useful after beach sessions. Off-road parking fits 2 cars. Mawgan Porth beach is 500 metres away, Bedruthan Steps 1.5 km, and Watergate Bay 3.5 km.

Mawgan Porth sits between Newquay (7 miles south) and Padstow (10 miles north). The beach has reliable surf, rock pools at low tide, and RNLI lifeguard cover in summer. Surf schools operate from the beach, and a cafe serves the bay.
