May Cottage

May Cottage is a three-storey, three-bedroom property in St Ives, set back from Fore Street in a quiet position. The cottage sleeps six and allows dogs, with an enclosed courtyard garden at the rear.

Living and kitchen space occupies the street-level floor in an open-plan layout. The first floor has a double bedroom with en-suite, and the second floor holds a king and a twin room sharing a family bathroom with bath and hand-held shower. The cottage has been recently refurbished with a contemporary finish. WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included.

The courtyard garden has outdoor furniture and space for a disposable barbecue. The enclosed layout makes it practical for dogs. Sea views are available from the upper floors.

Porthminster Beach - a south-facing, lifeguarded sandy beach with the well-known Porthminster Beach Cafe - is 400 metres away. St Ives Harbour Beach sits the same distance in the opposite direction, and Porthmeor Beach, backed by the Tate St Ives gallery, is 500 metres north. Fore Street's shops, restaurants and galleries are under five minutes on foot. For a car-free stay, the St Ives Bay Line rail halt connects to St Erth and the mainline network. Carbis Bay is one stop south, and Gwithian and the Hayle Towans are a short drive along the coast.
