Pirates Den

Pirates Den is a two-bedroom apartment for five at Helford Passage, close to the Ferryboat Inn and the beach on the north bank of the Helford River. First-floor living-room views across the beach and river distinguish it from the ground-floor apartments in the same complex.

Inside, the layout places the double bedroom on the first floor and a single-and-bunks bedroom on the ground floor. The walk-in shower bathroom was refurbished in 2022. The first-floor living room opens onto a separate dining area and a contemporary kitchen. Equipment includes wifi, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and accessibility features.

Outside, guests share the heated outdoor swimming pool on the complex, which opens from 1 May until the end of September. Kayak and paddleboard hire operates from the beach itself. Parking is on site. The Ferryboat Inn, a short walk away, specialises in seafood dishes and runs regular music and quiz nights.

Helford Passage is a small waterside hamlet on the north side of the Helford River, with a seasonal passenger ferry across to Helford village and the walk out to Frenchman's Creek, made famous by Daphne du Maurier's novel. The Trebah and Glendurgan gardens are nearby, Falmouth a short drive away. Prices start from GBP 649 per week, rising to GBP 1,501 in peak season, with Friday changeovers.
