Pol Haven

Pol Haven is a whitewashed fisherman's cottage in the centre of Polperro, just a few steps from the harbour wall. Arranged over three floors across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, it still reads as an intimate space rather than a large holiday let - the individual rooms are sized in the original cottage proportions. A roof terrace at the top of the building gives an unusual outlook over the village and down toward the harbour.

Inside, stone walls and open fireplaces sit alongside practical modern fittings including Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The multi-storey layout means internal stairs between floors, which is typical of Polperro's older houses. Dogs are welcome. A neighbouring pub means a glass of local ale is close at hand without moving the car.

Polperro is car-free in its centre, so guests leave vehicles in the main village car park and walk down. The result is an unusually quiet setting for a cottage this central, with the narrow lanes and working harbour giving the village its distinctive character. Coastal walks start directly from the front door.

The village has a good run of small restaurants serving local fish and produce, along with cafes and independent shops. Looe sits a short drive east along the coast, and the South West Coast Path connects Polperro to Talland Bay, Looe and Fowey.
