Staying at this glamping pod near Bude offers the perfect blend of coastal adventure and laid-back Cornish charm. Just 1.5 miles away, Bude is a seaside town surrounded by some of the finest beaches on the North Cornish Coast. Keen walkers will love the network of footpaths and bridleways that criss-cross the area, offering endless routes through rolling countryside and along rugged coastline. After a day exploring, head into Bude to treat yourselves to fresh fish and chips or enjoy a relaxed Cornish cream tea. For memorable day trips, the picturesque harbour village of Boscastle (13 miles) is well worth a visit, with its scenic harbour, cliff walks and independent shops. Continue on to Tintagel (17 miles), steeped in Arthurian legend and home to the dramatic Tintagel Castle, the National Trust Old Post Office, and Merlin’s Cave hidden beneath the cliffs.
Inside, the pod is a cleverly designed, liveable capsule, superbly insulated and equipped with underfloor heating during the cooler months to keep things warm and welcoming all year round. Its curved design creates a snug atmosphere, while the full-width front opens out to reveal wide, uninterrupted views of the sky beyond. The pod has beanbag seating, a comfortable king-size bed with fresh bedding and linens, a pull-out bed or futon for children, plus a kitchenette for preparing light meals and drinks. You can freshen up in your own private external wet room, which includes a heated shower.
Step outside onto your private deck and settle into one of the giant beanbags, fire up the gas BBQ-oven for al fresco dining, simply take in the landscaped lawns that gently roll around the pod. For larger gatherings, other on-site pods can be booked, and there’s a shared BBQ house for group meals and get-togethers. The on-site shell studio is sure to be a hit with children.
