The Den

The Den is a ground-floor, three-bedroom apartment on the edge of the older part of East Looe, sleeping up to six guests. It sits within a 100-year-old building but has been updated with a modern kitchen and a new shower room, and the single-floor layout - no internal stairs - makes it one of the more accessible options in a town built on steep harbour lanes.

Inside, the apartment combines the living space, kitchen and three bedrooms on one level. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included, and the cottage welcomes dogs. An allocated parking space comes with the property, which is unusual for central Looe and avoids the summer scramble for public car park spots.

Outside, an enclosed courtyard backed by rock face gives a sheltered spot to sit in good weather. The town's sandy beach and seafront sit within a short walk, along with the main run of pubs, shops and restaurants that line the old harbour streets.

Looe makes a practical base for the south coast. The South West Coast Path runs through the town toward Polperro and Downderry in either direction, and the Looe Valley branch line - a short scenic route inland to Liskeard - gives a low-effort day out without the car.
