All guests at Driftwood Lodge have free, unlimited access to the Hotel’s facilities, including a heated indoor swimming pool, spa, gym, restaurant, bar, take-away service and outside play area for the children. Please note that charges apply to certain spa treatments and Driftwood guests have a 15% discount arrangement in the restaurant, bar and spa. The Lodge is the ideal choice for families and groups wanting to spend time at the seaside, walk along Cornwall’s coastal paths with stunning views out to sea and visit the many local attractions for all ages. The picturesque coastal town of Fowey is just 3 miles away and is well worth a visit. Spend the day exploring the river estuary by boat, kayak or paddle board. Walk along the town’s quaint streets taking in an array of shops, restaurants and bars. Nearby the historic harbour of Charlestown (5.5 miles) is lined with tall ships and is a regular location for the filming of Poldark, whilst Mevagissey (12 miles) is a classic Cornish fishing village. For days out at the beach, Menabilly, Par Sands, Carlyon Bay, Porthpean, and the Spit Beach in Par are all close by. Inland attractions include The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The National Trust’s Lanhydroch (house and gardens), and The Camel Trail, stretching from Bodmin to Rick Stein’s Padstow, is an absolute must for cyclists of all abilities. Driftwood Lodge offers stylish and spacious single-level accommodation for up to 4 guests. The open plan living area, incorporating a well-equipped kitchen, good-sized dining table, and comfortable lounge, is in the centre of the property with the two ensuite bedrooms at each end. The lounge has a Smart TV, two large settees, wireless speaker and DVD player, whilst the kitchen has a fridge-freezer, washer/dryer, washing up machine, microwave, electric oven and Nespresso coffee machine. Bedroom 1 has a king-sized double bed, wall-mounted TV and plenty of storage space. Whilst the ensuite bathroom has a large bath, separate walk-in shower, toilet, shaving point, under-floor heating, and heated towel rail. Bedroom 2 has two large single beds, which can be joined together to make a super king-sized double bed, a wall-mounted TV and plenty of storage space. The ensuite bathroom has a recently installed walk-in shower, toilet, shaving point, under-floor heating and heated towel rail. Outside the Lodge, there is a private decking area and garden furniture. This enjoys the sun for most of the day and is therefore a perfect spot for alfresco dining. There are plenty of parking spaces close to the Lodge. Driftwood Lodge is very much a second home for the owners and therefore has a charming, homely feel to it. The property has been let to holidaymakers for the last 3 to 4 years and reviews have been excellent. These can be read in the Visitors Book at the property.
