The Old Milking Parlour

The Old Milking Parlour is a converted agricultural building in St Blazey Gate, a small village near Par on Cornwall's south coast, sleeping 4 in 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Carlyon Bay is 2km from the property - a broad south-facing sand beach with a beach club and water sports hire in summer. Charlestown Beach is 2.9km, alongside the Georgian harbour where tall ships are often moored. Porthpean, a quieter cove popular with local families, is 4.1km. All three are driveable in under 10 minutes. The Eden Project is similarly close at roughly 10 minutes by car - useful for a full day out that doesn't involve the coast.

Ideal for couples or families of up to 4 who want a mid-Cornwall base within easy reach of both the Eden Project and several south-coast beaches. Works well for guests who prefer quieter seaside spots over tourist centres - Par and St Blazey are working communities rather than resort villages. Not great for guests who want to walk to a beach or a pub from the door.
